Sports Acceleration Program
For competitive athletes looking to improve their performance and gain athletic edge, Shenandoah Medical Center offers an eight-week Sports Acceleration Program. Our certified fitness professionals at the Personal Training Center tailor individual workouts to improve quickness, form, coordination, acceleration, power, speed, strength and vertical jump.
This intense program is customized to address the specific needs of athletes in any sport. Every athlete participates in pre- and post conditioning evaluations so an individualized exercise program may be developed for each athlete, with post results to show progress . Pre- & Post testing includes: a timed 10-yard & 40-yard dash, standing broad jump, vertical jump, speed maximum, and weight lifting maximum.
The eight-week program features:
- One-hour sessions, three days per week
- Sport-specific training exercises
- Strength training with emphasis on proper lifting form
- Plyometric drills
- Agility drills
- Treadmill workouts
- A vertical jump program
- Running form technique training
30 Minute Thunder
Take advantage of short, effective workouts over the lunch hour. Work out with a Certified Personal Trainer, gain support in a group setting with no stress of memorizing a program. Beat the workout boredom with ever-changing workouts that produce results and boosts your energy levels the rest of the day! A fun, high-intensity, full-body workout to increase heart rate, keep it elevated while confusing the muscles. A big calorie burn in 30 minutes, utilizing every muscle possible. This class will leave you with an effective after-burn; you'll burn calories far past completion of the class. You will love the results!

Outdoor Fitness Bootcamp is an exercise program specifically designed to help you lose weight, gain muscle, reduce your body fat, and GET RESULTS! In addition, your energy will increase and you will gain greater self-confidence. But, results aren't guaranteed, THEY'RE EARNED! Prior to the beginning and at the conclusion of each training session body fat and inches will be tested.
Each week the trainer will slightly increase the intensity and change they type of exercises that are done. Exercises include: interval training, calisthenics, plyometrics, agility drills, push-ups, lunges, and much more!
