Support Hospice Care
Gifts given to Shenandoah Medical Center Hospice may be designated to assist in special projects which develop and enrich the care given to future patients.
All contributions address the growing need for services like comfort care, grief counseling, family bereavement and caregiver assistance as well as special equipment and on-call nursing care in the coming year. The ultimate goal is to establish a library that will provide educational resources for Hospice patient and their families.

Care with Your Comfort in Mind
At the Shenandoah Medical Center, our fundamental approach focuses on a comfortable environment where top-quality medical services are readily available. In some instances, ensuring your emotional, spiritual and physical comfort means providing outstanding care in the friendly and relaxed surroundings of your home.
Our home health and hospice services offer patients and their families convenient access to a team of medical professionals and the necessary resources to meet individual healthcare needs.
Home Health for Your Recovery
The Shenandoah Medical Center offers a wide range of at home therapies and nursing care. When additional professional care is needed following a hospital stay, our home health team offers all the necessary medical support to complete your hospital treatment plan and help assure your continued recovery.
In other cases, hospitalization may not even have been required but professional medical support is warranted. Your physician, with the assistance of our home health team, can design an at-home care plan to meet your specific needs. A Registered Nurse with home health training will provide the basic treatments and coordinate other aspects of your care with your physician and additional members of our home health team.
Compassionate Hospice Care
When you or a loved one is facing the end-stage of an illness, our hospice services offer compassionate and loving care to ensure independence and dignity as the end of life comes naturally and peacefully. When your circumstances meet the criteria for hospice care, our dedicated healthcare professionals will work with your primary care physician and provide you with guidance and support throughout the final stages of illness. We help patients and their support network select the best care options and oversee all aspects of the care plan, including their activities of day-to-day living. Our H.U.S.H. ("Helping U See Hope") bereavement program is designed specifically to assist loved ones, helping them cope during the illness and beyond.
