Shenandoah Medical Center has added a new provider to its lineup.
Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Holly Jorgensen is set to begin seeing patients later this month. Jorgensen was born in Red Oak and spent some time in Clarinda before moving to Arizona in her teens. After obtaining her RN and BSN-MSN, Jorgensen worked in long-term care and then worked in various departments at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak.
While working in the Emergency Department at MCMH, Jorgensen completed her Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
“I enjoy taking care of patients of all ages, but I have a very special interest in geriatrics and end-of-life/palliative care,” said Jorgensen. “I find great honor in being able to improve a patient’s quality of life during the final stages of life. I am very excited to be starting my FNP career at the Shenandoah Medical Center. It’s a great honor to be trusted in providing healthcare for people in my community of Southwest Iowa.”
