Dr. Darren Keiser grew up in Nebraska, graduating from Millard North High School in Omaha. He is the oldest of nine children. He is an Eagle Scout. Dr. Darren Keiser is fluent in Spanish, since returning from a volunteer two-year mission in Guatemala.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University. He graduated with High Distinction from The University of Nebraska Medical Center, as one of the top three students in his medical school class. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. He completed his orthopedic residency at the respected Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN.
Dr. Darren Keiser practiced at the Methodist Physicians Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center from 2003-to 2020. He currently practices at MD West One. He was given the “Outstanding Young Nebraskan” award by the Nebraska Jaycees in 2008. He has been the honored recipient of several “Methodist Meaning of Care” awards. He is a member of the Nebraska Orthopedic Society and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, passing his recertification exam in the top 93rd percentile of all practicing orthopedic surgeons. Dr. Keiser has dedicated much of his life to helping his patients optimally recover from their orthopedic ailments and works diligently to achieve happy outcomes.
Dr. Keiser is an active volunteer in church, charitable organizations, and the community. He loves spending time with his wife, six children, and grandchildren. He enjoys travel, the outdoors, music, and athletics.

Dr. Otterberg graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Creighton Orthopedic Foundation. He completed a fellowship in hip and knee replacement from Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He has served as Chief of Staff for Lakeside Hospital in 2015-2016 and 2020. Dr. Otterberg has been on the board of the Mid-America Orthopedic Association since 2009 and served as its president from 2022-2023. He is also active and serves on the board of the Nebraska Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.

Dr. David Lutz will serve the family practice team at the Shenandoah Medical Center, serving healthcare needs of both children and adults in southwest Iowa. Born and raised in California, Lutz received his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University in Utah before attending medical school at the Saba University School of Medicine. He later moved to Buffalo, New York where he completed residency training in family medicine at the University of Buffalo-SUNY. Lutz is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Lutz and his wife, Celine, have one daughter, Gwen, who is almost a year old. He stays busy outside of the clinic by hiking, playing board games, listening to music, and spending time with his daughter.
Holly Jorgensen, FNP-C, has joined SMC as a family medicine provider. She was born in Red Oak then spent some of her childhood in Clarinda. In her late teens, she relocated to Prescott, Arizona where she eventually attended her RN program. Holly completed her medical RN program at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona in addition to a BSN-MSN program at Chamberlain University in Addison, Illinois. After graduation, she came back to the Midwest to help care for her aging grandparents and to be closer to family.
Prior to nursing she had worked in retail management and was an optometrist assistant. She started her professional nursing career in long-term care for one year then went to Montgomery County Memorial Hospital and worked in the Med/Surgery department for approximately 6 months before she was transferred into the ACU (Step Down, Med-Surgery/Tele Unit). She worked in the ACU for approximately 10 years and then transferred into the Emergency Department for approximately 3 more years, during which time she completed her Family Nurse Practitioner certification program.
Holly enjoys taking care of patients of all ages but has a very special interest in geriatrics and end-of-life/palliative care. She finds it great honor to be able to improve a patient’s quality of life during the final stages of life. She is very excited to be starting her FNP career at the Shenandoah Medical Center. She believes it is a great honor to be trusted in providing healthcare for people in her community of Southwest Iowa.
Dr. Clyde Sullivan comes to SMC with 20+ year’s background in Cardiology and Internal Medicine that includes research into cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Sullivan is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, peripheral vascular interpretation, and cardiovascular computer tomography. He graduated from medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed his residency at the University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Medical Campus, Cleveland, Ohio and completed a fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
When speaking about his specific practice, Dr. Sullivan mentioned, “Heart disease remains the number one cause of death in the United States. My background includes performing research on cardiovascular disease earlier in my career. This medical specialty has become a favorite of mine for a long time. Having the ability to help people with heart disease is very rewarding.”
Dr. Sullivan and his family are excited to move to Shenandoah. In his free time, his family loves to spend time outdoors. He enjoys fishing, hiking, rafting, and camping.
